Home Instead is looking for Lead Caregivers in the Manitowoc area to support our growing base of CAREgivers and clients in the Manitowoc area.  Generally working at the client’s residence, the Lead CAREGiver supports Home Instead’s mission of “changing the face of aging” by advocating for and conducting CAREGiver development in addition to providing dependable, compassionate care. This position is vital to supporting the branch’s Quality Assurance (QA) program, ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care and Caregivers are prepared to do their role safely.  As the face of Home Instead in the community, this team member must demonstrate our core value, Love (v.), in all interactions with internal and external customers and staff: patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty and commitment.

Requirements:  
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional Caregiver
- Ability to work with our high acuity clients on a day in day out basis
- Expertise with mechanical, adaptive equipment (hoyer lifts, sit-to-stands)
Experience with behaviors associated with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Autism and other cognitive impairments
- Conduct training in the field with other Caregiver (s), such as personal care training
- Assess and reiterate the 8 Care needs for every shift
- Facilitate Client / Caregiver introductions for new Caregivers and/or a Caregiver requiring additional support
- Provide shadowing opportunities for Caregivers and encourage Caregivers to seek additional training when needed
- Regularly communicate with supervisor and office staff
